Chinese Astrology and Uranian Astrology - Why I stick to Western Astrology
Chinese Astrology can be fun.
Chinese use the year of ones birth to determine the "animal" that
describes one's characteristic. This means EVERYONE born in
the same year is the same animal. The pattern is then repeated
every 12 years. Chinese Astrology only uses one one element to
describe you. Is it general? Yes it is.
Western Astrology uses 12 planets. Your entire birth data is
needed including your hour and place of birth.
Your western chart is the eqivalent of a snapshot of your moment of
birth. Also, there are many different branches of Western
Astrology such as:
Natal Astrology does have many subtechniques for for telling
the future. Transits, Progressions, Solar Arc Directions,
Solar Returns, Lunations etc.are used to interweave cycles.
Electional Astrology will guide you to getting a time and date for
asserting an event. Finally,
Synastry: Comparing 2 charts, Composite charts (average of
2 charts to make 1 chart. )
Horary Astrology used to answer specific questions such as "When
Will I get a job?" "Will Cassie and I get Married."
These questions are answered by the Western Astrology calculating a
chart the moment a questions is asked.
Relocation Astrology Since your time of birth is needed for
calculating your chart, the chart can be altered for another
location by moving the clock fowards or backwards. For
example, if you are born in New York City and want to know what your
life is like in Los Angles, California, the chart will shift since
there is a three hour time difference. If you're opening up a
business and need to have a better date to do so,.
Since Chinese Astrology uses the year of your birth, the only thing
one can do in reviewing the occurences of a year in western thinking
are major transits, lunations and eclipses. Yet, is it
general?
For the most part, when I started my interests in metaphysics, I
dabbled with just about everything. Then the moment I found
the right Astrology book, I was hooked. It lead me to serious
Astrological studies with the National Council for Geocosmic
Research. Within my studies of Astrology, I
stumbled into other forms of Astrology such as Uranian Astrology.
Uranian Astrology uses a different shape chart called a 90 degree
chart. Alot of math must be used. The "formulas" are
similar to algebriac equations. I expressed my dissapointment
with an event I expect to unfold because I found it in my Uranian
Chart. The teacher I was studying at the time (Western) warned
me to be very careful in using Uranian. She told me that many
Western Astrologers have noticed the same thing. It also
happened to her. She told me that when her daughter was dating
a gentleman she did not think was suitable,, she worried as she saw

month finally arrived, the daughter was certainly wearing a wedding
dress. However she wasnt walking down an isle. Instead, she
was modeling wedding dresses for a print ad! Immediately I
decided no more TNPS/Dials/ Pictures/Midpoints etc... Ill just
stick to Western Astrology.
